Pointe West Honda, previously known as Yellowhead Honda, was established in 1981 by Peter Yachimec, and is now located at 10220 - 184 Street in the West End of Edmonton, just a short distance from West Edmonton Mall. Yellowhead Honda has become the largest selling Honda dealership in Edmonton for many years. Lynda Yachimec, daughter of the founder, acquired the dealership on her father Peter's retirement, and Pointe West Honda has continued to flourish under Lynda's leadership. The dealership has grown every year and now supports 65 families.
In 2003, a complete renovation was completed to the main building, enlarging the New car showroom. The Parts and Service departments were also renovated, now boasting a drive-through for service clients, a larger parts inventory, and a larger detailing centre. The Pre-owned vehicle department now has its own indoor showroom which is right next door. The renovations were a great success; Yellowhead Honda is new and improved for creating a customer-focused dealership.
